“Naina Helén Jåma is a freelance photojournalist educated at the Nordic School of Photography. She is an indigenous Southern Sami, born in Norway, currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. With an editorial experience from Sweden’s largest photo agency, flexibility and versatility is one of her strengths as she masters both a wide range still photography and short format film. News, portrait, sports, film, conceptual shoots and longer stories. Her main motivation is to tell stories in the best possible way, meet people, as well as focusing on graphic forms and lights.
Granted a working grant from The Saami Council 2020, for a project on traditional knowledge in South Saepmie.
